BRIEF:
To design an iPad app and use information design to advocate on behalf of Zoos Victoria, in any of the broad topics such as Priority Native Threatened Species, International Programs and Grants, Act for Wildlife and Research.

CHOSEN TOPIC:
Priority Native Threatened Species – Helmeted Honeyeater
PROBLEM:
Helmeted Honeyeater is at risk of critically endangered due to the extensive destruction of habitat.
IDEA:
Helmeted Honeyeater needs friends for life. The friends need to understand the needs of Helmeted Honeyeater’s habitat and help regevetate to increase habitat and to supplement the wild population. The iPad app will have some basic information about Helmeted Honeyeater such as diet, distribution and life cycle. It has also a tab about habitat needed to explain the preferable habitat and nest building. Besides that, it shows the loss of habitat and impact on habitat in infographics. Lastly, it asks the user to be a friend of the Helmeted Honeyeater by joining as a member or volunteer, purchasing merchandise, donation and adoption.
